ABOUT DAAD

With its development-oriented postgraduate study programs, the DAAD promotes the training of specialists from developed and newly industrialized countries. Well-trained local experts, who are networked with international partners, play an important part in the sustainable development of their countries.

They are the best guarantee for a better future with less poverty, more education and health for all.

The scholarships offer foreign graduates from development and newly industrialised countries from all disciplines and with at least two years’ professional experience the chance to take a postgraduate or master’s degree at a state or state-recognised German university, and in exceptional cases to take a doctoral degree, and to obtain a university qualification (Master’s/PhD) in Germany.

Who can apply?

• Depending on academic level, monthly payments of 934 euros for graduates or 1,200 euros for doctoral candidates
• Payments towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover
• Travel allowance, unless these expenses are covered by the home country or another source of funding

• Monthly rent subsidy
• Monthly allowance for accompanying members of family

Postgraduate Courses

Applications have only to be sent to the respective course directly! Please refer to their respective websites for the application procedure (i.e., online application), for the application deadline and the documents to be submitted.

You can apply for up to three courses. If applying to more than one course, please list courses in order of priority in the DAAD application forms.

 About Worms University of Applied Sciences(Hochschule Worms)

Worms University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Worms) is a business and technology-oriented university of applied sciences in Worms, Germany. Around 3700 students are taught in 38 degree programmes by 74 professors and around 100 lecturers. Worms University of Applied Sciences has three departments: Tourism/Travel Management, Computer Science and Business Sciences. The courses offered include both business and technical Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes. Some of these courses can also be studied in a dual system with practical training.

• Your academic performance
• Your expected graduation time (max. one (1) year and 60 ECTS open until graduation)
• Your current situation (graduation grants are intended to support international students to focus on their studies and their graduation, when they have been experiencing financial hardships through no fault of their own)

• Plan of studies (brief overview of your current studies: current semester, ECTS achieved, ECTS open until graduation – you can just list bullet points, no elaboration needed)
