The General Public is hereby informed that from Monday 19th September 2022, the Youth Employment Agency will open its recruitment portal for two major modules: Community Health Worker Programme and Community (Police) Protection Assistants Module
About Us
The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) was established under the Youth Employment Act 2015 (Act 887) to empower young people to contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic and sustainable development of the nation. Its objective is to support the youth between the ages of 15 to 35 years through skills training and internship modules to transit from a situation of unemployment to that of employment.
Community Health
The Community Health Worker Programme portal will be active from 19th to 28th September. This is to allow for updates by existing applicants and new applications. (All are encouraged to apply, especially women)
Eligibility Criteria
- Persons within the age of 18-35 year
- Minimum qualification of senior high school education
Condition Of Application
- Successful applicants will be engaged as beneficiaries of YEA
- Beneficiaries would be on two (2) years
The program will run for two years after the engagement of Beneficiaries.
Community (Police) Protection Assistants
Community Protection Assistants Portal will be live from 19th September to 14th October 2022.
Eligibility Criteria
- Persons within the age of 18-35 year
- Minimum qualification of senior high school education
- Applicants must be fluent in English and at least one local language
- Ability to use (or learn to use) a smartphone
- only shortlisted applicants who successfully complete the CHW training programme will be engaged
Role of The Community Health Workers
the community Health Worker is not a health professional but a person recruited by the YEA from the respective communities and service delivery points thereby facilitating the work of the Community Health YEA, Community Health Officers will be engaged and midwives in the various communities.
The program will run for two years, effective from the date of engagement. All potential beneficiaries are encouraged to apply.
