Unemployed youth in Ghana arrested for murder over GH¢30

A 22-year-old young man who resides in Agbozume-Ketu South, Godknows Tamakloe, has been arrested for the alleged death of David Klutsey. It`s dated by The Ghana Police Service that Tamakloe, the suspect, ganged up with his stepbrother, Remember, on the 20th of October 2022 to stab David during a banter over a sum noted to be Ghc30.

David who was badly injured kicked the bucket later while receiving treatment at a hospital. He died on 23rd October 2022.

The Police Chief Inspector who`s still prosecuting the case informed the Agbozume Magistrate`s Court, being presided over by Mr. Issah Iddrisu that Remember sold a cell phone to the deceased. the deceased owed Remember Ghc30 as a balance of the phone purchased.

According to the Inspector`s speech, Remember and Godknows went to David for the Ghc30 and in the process, a hot fight ensued between the brothers and the deceased where the deceased slapped David who fell on the floor.

The Chief Inspector said Godknows in the ensuing fight, grabbed the deceased from the back while Remember stabbed him. After the stabbing, Remember successfully fled the scene leaving his brother who was arrested as the victim also got rushed to the hospital.

Godknows, who was arraigned on 23rd October 2022, is expected to make his 4th court appearance on 20th December 2022.

At the moment, the body of David has been deposited at the Sacred Heart Hospital morgue, Abor, pending autopsy.
