ROLE: Customer Intelligence Analyst – GHANA

About this job

As a Customer Intelligence Analyst at JUMO, it will be your job to come up with actionable customer insights by finding and quantifying ways to make our customers, business, and partner digital networks more valuable.

You are naturally curious and energized by a deep understanding of what customers care about, what motivates them, what drives their behavior, and how these basic needs translate into exciting product experiences that customers love and promote. The CI Team Lead will be in charge of you.

You will
  • Design and create both qualitative and quantitative (mixed method) research studies to learn more about JUMO’s customers, market needs, business drivers, and new possibilities.
  • Combine what you’ve learned from primary research with what you’ve learned from secondary research and data about how customers behave. This will give you more customer information, insights, and suggestions for improving the customer experience and refining your product to meet market needs.
  • Find the right tools and new ways to do things to make customer insight growth more effective and efficient.
  • Work with people from different departments to improve the design of research and share the results with different business groups, such as Marketing, Data & Prediction, Strategic Partnerships, Product, Customer Experience, and ESG.
  • Use your storytelling, data visualization, and communication skills to bring the voice of the customer to life across the company and make sure that the insights help make decisions for the design and delivery of compelling customer value propositions.
  • Set up and run the system for collecting and managing qualitative customer data on an ongoing basis.

You’ll need to

  • Graduate degree in business, economics, statistics, business science, development studies, or something similar. A postgraduate degree is a plus. Three or more years in relevant analyst jobs, with a lot of experience in mixed-method market research and consumer insights.
  • Experience working in companies that deal with technology or money
  • Experience in emerging areas
  • Able to plan and carry out primary research, such as interviews, surveys, questionnaires, focus groups, field trips, etc.
  • Solid understanding of how to do both quantitative and qualitative research
  • Excellent project management and organizing skills
  • High emotional intelligence and understanding of other people
  • Able to plan and carry out primary research, such as interviews, surveys, questionnaires, focus groups, field trips, etc.
  • After an early validation exercise, the ability to double-check the integrity of the data.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write reports and give presentations both orally and visually (including the ability to visualize data).
  • Expertise with the MS Office tools.
  • You must know a lot about SQL.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Strong skills in talking to people, persuading them, and giving presentations.
  • High emotional intelligence and understanding of other people.
  • Flexible and able to move quickly between collecting data, making sense of it, and business.
  • Effective ways to interview customers
  • Good business sense
  • Excellent project management and organizing skills
  • Strong focus on getting things done on your own in a fast-paced, changing workplace. You are a critical thinker with great problem-solving skills.
  • Team player and a worker with others
  • Passion for putting the customer first

Bonus if you have

  • Knowledge of behavioral economics or market psychology that has been put to use would be a plus.
  • Prior experience in African countries with management consulting and market research
  • It’s helpful to know how to use graphical tools like SuperSet, Tableau, etc., and statistical tools like SPSS, Q, etc.
