Job Description

  • Work Location: Perbi Cubs Office, West Legon, Accra
  • Expected Start Date: Immediate


We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the sales of Perbi Cubs services in Ghana and across Africa in line with the organization’s vision, develop the sales strategy in line with the overall organizational strategy and to provide effective leadership to the Business Development Unit.


Strategy Formulation and Implementation (35%)

• Develop sales strategies and targets for the Perbi Cubs brand.
• Liaise with Brand Influence and Communications Manager to develop marketing strategies.
• Develop tactics and comprehensive implementation plans to execute the sales strategy.
• Develop a regular scheme and metrics for market surveys.
• Conduct business forecast and research on the industry and competitors to shape and direct the organization’s strategy.
• In the scope of market research, identify opportunities and threats, and provide strategic measures to take advantage of opportunities and mitigate threats.
• Participate in developing new ventures, specifically assist the Chief Executive officer and the managerial team in determining cost effectiveness of prospective service delivery.
• Develop operations manual of best practices and systems for the business unit.

Business Development (30%)

• Lead the execution of sales strategies to meet sales targets.
• Recommend marketing approaches and budgets that can help the Perbi Cubs brand attain its goals and target.
• Lead the sales team to seek new prospects and follow-up diligently on all prospects.
• Liaise with the Brand Influence and Communications Manager to create and deliver excellent presentations and marketing material to increase the patronage of our services.
• Provide weekly, monthly, termly and annual sales reports to help in managerial decision making.

Team Leadership and Self Development (20%)

• Recruit, train and supervise first class staff and set high performance standards for staff to handle.
• Play coaching and leadership roles in staff development.
• Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization’s mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.
• Design, delegate and monitor the overall output of the business development team.
• Develop operations manual of best practices and systems for the business unit.
Client Management and Stakeholder Engagement (10%)
• Develop and nurture cordial relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Create ideas and solutions to make service delivery better and profitable.
• As a team player, perform any necessary role and/or task to deliver an excellent customer experience.

Living the Brand – 7Ps (5%)

  •  Uphold company values in the execution of tasks

Required Skills or Experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sales or any related field.
  • Must have at least 10 years of working experience in sales.
  • In-depth working knowledge of sales and marketing principles and best practices.
  • Workable knowledge in Strategic Management and Project Management.
  • Ability to plan and organize service delivery presentations to clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and able to interpret and use marketing data.
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Good collaboration skills in working with creative and remote teams.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Resilient and good critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft office suite, Google drive and other collaborative tools.
